17th April 2008: Home-Run!
And here I am again, for the THIRD day in a row!
As I posted yesterday, I had an all-day job interview today. Things went well. So well in fact, that they’ve given me the job, pending the security checks. I’m not sure when I’ll be starting at this point, so I’ll be waiting for the checks to come through (it might take anything from 2 days to 2 weeks, they said).
God is Good!

16th April 2008
Hey everyone! (I can;t believe I’m posting two days in a row!)
Just a quick one from me to ask for your prayers, as I have a all-day job interview tomorrow.
Also, for those NFL fans (probably and hopefully) amongst you, the schedule for the forthcoming season came out overnight. Check out the NFL site (http://www.nfl.com/schedules?seasonType=REG&season=2008#Week) for all the details, but some of the prime-time games look like interesting choices (The Browns on 5 times?!). This is probably an appropriate moment to say/warn that there will a load of NFL related chatter through the summer, so if you’re not a fan, DON’T READ THE POSTS!!!

Update: 15th April 2008
Hey everyone! Hope this finds you well.
Just a quick update. Things are going okay, but it’s still quiet on the employment front atm, but hopefully that will change soon.
Also, I’ve decided to redesign the blog. What does everyone think?
ONE Prayer
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share with everyone a very exciting initiative that I’ve heard about today. Below is a quick introductory video from Craig Groeschel, LifeChurch.tv Senior Pastor.
This looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what God does through it.
Update: 26/03/2008
Hey everyone! Hope this finds you well.
The last couple of weeks have been eventful, to say the least! I’d initially found work that I thought would take me up until the move in May. Just as I was getting settled into it, the employment agency in charge of the role finished the work all of a sudden last week, with barely any notice at all. They’d said that there wasn’t enough work within the department to justify having 2 temporary staff members there, so they let me go, based on how long the temps had been there (even though we’d both started the same day…)
As a result, the move has had to be put back for the time being, which is pretty frustrating, as you can imagine. I’m now anticipating that I’ll be in London full-time by the end of the year, with the short-term plan of “commuting” between Cardiff and London for the “Sunday Night @ Hillside” services still happening.
I continue to appreciate your prayers for the whole thing.

Things move forward…
Hey everyone!
So, things are moving forward at an incredible rate now. The church in London held the first of two pilot services today. The flyer below was what was used to advertise the service in the local area:

They had a total of 27 people attending the service, with at least 1 commitment to Christ. To see (from afar for now) the fruition of months of prayer and work on their part was fantastic, and it’s gotten me even more pumped up for what God’s going to do in London through this whole thing.

Sickness or Attack? You decide…
Hey everyone, hope you’re ok.
Apologies for silence here, things have been ticking along. The last week though has seen me in a state of sickness for most of it, which has even affected my sleeping, which is not good right now. I’m not the only one who has been affected by such sickness, check out this post from my partners in the forthcoming London stuff: http://byersfamily.wordpress.com/2008/03/02/day-13-of-blah-ness.
The fact that both the Byers family and myself has been affected by this at the same time has really brought home to me the fact that we’re fighting against an enemy that dosen’t want to see this succeding, because it would mean lives getting changed.
Anyway, I’m feeling much better now, and I’m back in the business of getting things sorted before the move. I’ve discovered a flat that looks promising, so I’ll be contacting the guy who owns the flat tomorrow. I’ve also got a visit to Wimbledon coming up in early April just to sort out a few things before the move, so it’s getting into that period of mega-busyness, but I’m still as excited about this whole thing as I was back in January, so that’s a good sign.
I’ll stop rambling now, but your prayers for both myself and the Byers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading,
Keith
21st February 2008
Hey everyone! Hope this finds you well.
These last 24 hours or so have seen a lot of things fall into place, and I’m reminded of how good the God we serve is.
I had a phone call from a employment agency with a job working as a general dogsbody in a Solicitors office here in Cardiff. After a brief description of what the job entailed. I was able to tell the agency what my almost unique requirements are at this time (with the London Stuff about to happen).
The agency said they would be willing to allow me to be at this job temporarily. Upon further investigation, I then discovered that the company has an office smack bang in the centre of London too, so there’s every chance I could move jobs seamlessly as I move into London.
I’m due to phone the agency back tomorrow, so I’d appreciate your prayers as I sort things out.

Internet Campus – 9am Experience begins!
As I’ve been mentioning, my church today started the first of what I believe will be many extra services to cope with the different time zones across the world. It was great to see so many out, including a bunch from the US and Mexico, and I have to give massive praise to those guys that stayed up late/got up early to join with us European and African natives. If you’re reading this, you made a difference this morning so thank you!
One of the things that I’ve always loved about LifeChurch.tv is the teaching, and today was no exception. We started a new series called ‘Hostage’, in which we’re going to be discussing things that can hold us hostage. Today it was bitterness, and as always, it was incisive and very clear, and I certainly learned loads from it.
Next week we’re discussing fear, so if you can, come out and give LC.tv a try! If 9am GMT is a bit too early for you, we also hold services at 10am and 11:30am US Central Time.

11th Feb 2007
Hey guys, sorry it’s been awhile!
It’s been a quiet period really since my last post, the excitement of telling people about the London move has given way to the realisation of what exactly needs to be done before I can move, and it’s just a case now of knuckling down and getting on with it.
A friend of mine told me to always expect opposition when we step out into the things of God, and this past weekend has seen that in a major way for me. I would appreciate your prayers as I continue to move forward.
Anyway, as I’ve said in a previous post, the LifeChurch.tv Internet Campus launches a new experience time for the European and African time zones this Sunday. It’s at 9am GMT (which is 10am CET and 11am for most of Africa I think). I’m excited to see exactly what God can do using this experience, and I’m also looking forward to meeting new people there.
Hope to see you there!
